Understanding design for excellence

I made a list of goals I needed to accomplish by the conclusion of this semester in order for me to enter into the manufacturing industry. These goals served as road maps for me as I discovered the essential elements I wanted to apply to my design approach. These are: 
01. Learn about making of a product (material, manufacturing process,) 02. Learn about industrial process (research and visits) 03. Costing for one product v/s costing for 10,0000 products 04. Project DOC. (PDS, BOM, Dwgs, QC, costing, packaging) 05. Analyzing product (tests, standards)
