The design highlights the architecture of the senses. A sort of representation in architecture involves sounds, works, food, performance to create a real spectacle for the senses. The space is an abstraction of rhythm through levels that celebrate music and tabla making as a recreational activity. This complex fabrication along with the idea of musical culture aims to highlight the design of a space shaped by knowledge that narrates culture, forms and generates an experience that demands the viewer to express, appreciate, question, wonder. etc. The site being in a tropical monsoon climate, the space shall contain a multi level enclosure along with visible and semi open privacy by providing variation in heights, continuity in interior elements. The tangible and physical properties of wood and fabric creating interior elements and spaces will celebrate the complex joineries and the knowledge of making as a culture by adding narratives into the interior elements and interactive spaces. This can be achieved by basic hand tools(trowels, wrenches, knives) and machine driven tools(compressed air, liquid fuel, grinders, breakers) and other machine tools for shaping material. The space being culturally driven, which celebrates the process of making, the target audience could be design enthusiasts, makers and cultural enthusiasts.
