Analyzing Sustainability

In this studio Engineering Sustainability, several basic technologies and analytical techniques for designing data-driven energy efficient buildings was introduced. The primary focus of this course was to study the thermal and luminous behavior of buildings. The course also raised awareness regarding various rating programs for sustainable building like ECBC, IGBC, LEED, GRIHA, etc. We also designed and made models of 1 cubic meter volume of different materials to do a comparative study of concepts like heat gain, heat transfer, etc. with several equipment such as thermal sensors and hygrometer.
