Sustainability of Dwellings and Construction materials

This studio introduced us to the concept of sustainability and its scope in the construction field. In the first half of the semester, we documented and analyzed the sustainability our own dwellings by modelling and simulating it's conditions in the IESVE software. Theoretical and manual calculations were also done with the help of ECBC and NBA. in the second half of the semester we worked hands on by building a cube module with different construction materials. The thermal properties of the materials were studied and live data of aspects like surface temperature and humidity were collected through sensors.
