INTRODUCTION TO BRIDGES

In this studio, we investigated various types of bridges and the components that make them up. We attempted to comprehend the construction of bridges. Studio started by designing a cable stayed bridge. For this particular exercise, case study, architectural design and physical model are made. Following that, we moved to grillage analysis of Precast RCC I-girder superstructure. Last exercise was about  planning of a junction where bridges must be proposed to reduce traffic at grade. Click here for external portfolio.
