Ferme is a cantilevered railway station of nine meters length, six and a half meters breadth and height five and a half meters designed at a given site, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad. The design of the slope of the cantilever was done considering easy water run off towards the back, away from the track and where people board the train. This is important especially in a city like Ahmedabad where when rain hits, it hits hard. As the structure was curved, a spaceframe was required for structural stability.
