ROCKING & LOCKING CHAIR

The studio started with the exploration of different types of movements and choosing the one that interested us the most. From movement to principle to application, chosen principle for me was the Rocking movement and through further explorations into various problems, the concept narrowed down to providing a Rocking chair on which You can lock the rocking movement as well. Concept was to make a rocking chair that can lock its rocking moment and also convert its ergonomics from rocking chair to normal sitting chair. The locking mechanism was later on taken from double stand of bicycle.
