Taking inspiration from a lipstick, the simple leads crew mechanism of turning rotary motion into linear motion became the starting point of this project. After lots of exploration and interpretation of this mechanism, this Deployable Drying Rack was designed to meet the needs of the users in an efficient yet minimal way. From material to form to function, this product is designed focusing on its movement and mechanism.
