The studio with a focus on building the foundation of tectonics involved developing a unique approach, different from the past pedagogy. Continuously engaging with elements like material, structural forces, details and expression - Through a series of three exercises, the foundation of tectonic spatial form was understood. The first exercise was a hands-on experience of designing and making a climate control opening device. The second exercise slowly moved towards an element of the program; A spanning system designed to understand structural forces. The final exercise was attempted with expression and tectonic form as a key focus, integrating the elements together.
