Existence of forts and gateways in Indian cities is identifiable in its planning and ekistics. These forts serving the functionality of defence were also built to display power and authority, symbolising the glory of a place. The primary intention of the research is to show why Toraniya Naka is unique and to relatively establish the same in the sense of Historic/Aesthetic characteristics and further assign them as values of the structure. Attributes such as the year of construction, thickness of the gates, planning, Architectural style and present condition, ect.. Have been taken into consideration in order to compare the gates.
