Mass Housing in Dharavi Koliwada

This project aims at creating mass housing at Dharavi Koliwada. Koliwada is an urban village where the Kolis, the original inhabitants of Mumbai, reside. The new design provides ample open spaces with different characters, allowing many activities to take place there.  The new design allows residents to customize their units to best suit their needs. The main focus is to create a series of shared semi-open spaces to promote interaction between the residents and increase the community's vibrancy.
