Enhancing Open Spaces

The chosen site for the project is the Old City of Ahmedabad which has a characteristic dense fabric of buildings. The open spaces that exist in this dense fabric are under utilised and has the opportunity to be developed into areas that could act as attractors to the tourists visiting the city. After identifying the spaces that has the potential to be developed, rules and strategies are recognised through different case studies and different patterns emerged by which these areas could be determined.
