Land Crunch in Metropolitan Cities

Due to rapid Urbanization and Population growth, we are reaching a critical situation of Land shortage. To counter the same, we came up with an idea to exploit the TOD scheme; this allows us to build more space alongside transit nodes and networks to emphasize public transport use. 09 metro stations are taken under study, for which a physical survey was done, all the built-up area was mapped, and new built-up is forecasted (as per AUDA norms). Discussed cases are one with all residential development and the second (recommended) with mix-use development. Departments Benefitted: AMC, AUDA, and Gujarat Revenue Department.
