Town Planning Scheme is an effective micro-planning tool that is fair, equitable & profitable to all the concerned stakeholders. Although the TP Schemes have been very efficient in facilitating development in Ahmedabad, there are certain areas where development demand often outpaces the supply of planned and serviced land. To address this challenge, this studio was an attempt to prepare a TP scheme for one such area in the peri-urban context of Ahmedabad with a vision of facilitating development through inclusive & sustainable practices. Synthesizing multi-disciplinary aspects and surpassing conventional practices, this attempt shall remain a guide for similar projects.
