TRANSIT- MART

The design features an intermodal transit hub that aims to combine both the AMTS and the BRTS at Vasna, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The presence of a central market place in the design aims to provide the affordable second hand goods also acts as a transitional space between the BRTS platform and the streets. The design features open spaces for seating and pause points adapting to the site context. The movements of pedestrians, buses, and paratransit have been reimagined thoroughly for convenient circulation and on the street edges. The old station had grown organically in haphazard manner creating chaos of bus, visitor and other traffic movement. the design tries to resolve the aspect and create a more organized circulation across the site.
