Commercial Project

The Integrated Construction Practices studio of Monsoon Semester III of Master’s in Construction Engineering and Management focuses on the processes and collaboration using appropriate software tools on real life. The recent trends of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Lean Construction are used to address the challenges of modern construction projects. For this studio, commercial project has been selected. Each group member played a role of key project stakeholder simulating the process for the selected project to learn the shortfalls of traditional construction processes, to understand the role the technology plays in construction management.
