HIGH-RISE HOSTEL

A high-rise hostel project was undertaken in this studio to learn the integrated construction practices. In this studio, many BIM and Lean principles were designed to obtain more substantial results than we would have with traditional techniques. The group members were given various roles. This portfolio showcases the structural consultant's work. To put BIM concepts into action, a BIM execution plan was created for this hostel project. Other significant BIM execution use cases after the modelling phase include quantity take-off, use of Dynamo script, 4D and 5D simulations, and other technologies like AR and VR. Implementing BIM and Lean concepts, an IPD strategy throughout the process, led to better results at the end of the process.
