Urban Pol

The main idea revolves around the question, why do we begin housing with a typical housing layout? Today’s urban housing is detached from the region it belongs to. Any project can be plonked into any part of the country! Hence, these projects seem mundane- with no character. This project attempts to relink people with their homes. Units and streets of Urban Pol are designed to recreate all the lived experiences in a regional house, in the case of Ahmedabad, a Pol House. Urban Pol is a hope to bring back all the relationships of a resident with home and neighbourhood.
