The Continuum

Shahpur is a part of Ahmedabad, located right on the edge of the old city of Ahmedabad. It is bustling with many activities; many mixed-use family-run businesses, industrial sectors, etc. The streets that connect and merge into the main road are also fascinating; a user effortlessly transitions from the quiet and narrow nature of the pol houses to the service road, which takes you to the Main road. The program, alongside the metro, aims to sustain this nature of the “streets”. This deals with creating bridges that connect the edges, including the public as a part of the built environment, having functions that engage the residents of the surrounding community and the city.
