Terra

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said, "Architecture is liquid music". This project is inspired by the song "terra" by the artist wood. Terra is a plaza containing a cafe, a design gallery, and an exhibit shop in the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. The calm and peaceful essence of the song is reflected in the project by the underground level, away from the chaos of the world. The heart of the project is the kinetic skylight present in the center of the plaza that controls the light and shadow experience of the underground design gallery.
