THE EXHIBITION IS EXPERIENCED AS A JOURNEY WRAPPED AROUND A SOLID CORE AND ENCLOSED BY ORTHOGONAL PARTITION WALLS, CREATING A NON DISRUPTIVE AND MEDITATIVE SPACE. THE PLAN OF THE EXHIBITION IS BORN OUT OF THE PLAN OF THE EXISTING BUILDING. HOWEVER, IT OPPOSES ITS LANGUAGE BY ELIMINATING ALL THE PARTITION WALLS AND SLAB AND CREATES A CANOPY IN THE CENTER THAT SHELTERS THE ENTIRE SPACE.THE CENTRAL WALLS ARE MADE OUT OF RCC WHICH EMERGE FROM THE GROUND, ASCEND AND EVENTUALLY GROW INTO THE ROOF OF THE SPACE. INDIRECT LIGHT ENTERS FROM THE TOP OF THE PARTITION WALLS AND WASHES THE SOFFIT OF THE SLAB. THE OUTER WALLS ARE PARTITIONED BETWEEN THE FRAME OF RCC COLUMNS AND BEAMS WHICH HAVE THE EXHIBITS FOR DISPLAY. THESE WALLS ARE ELEVATED FROM THE GROUND CREATING A RHYTHM OF COLUMNS ON THE FACADE, SIMILAR TO THE RHYTHM IN THE EXISTING BUILDING. A MEZZANINE DECK HANGS IN THE EXHIBITION WHICH HAS A SURPRISING ENTRY FROM THE COURTYARD. THE STAIRCASE IS HIDDEN INSIDE THE RCC CASKET AND IS OPEN TO SKY, PROVIDING A BREAK FROM THE EXHIBITION SPACE. ALL THESE ELEMENTS TOGETHER MAKE THE SPACE AN EXHIBITION ITSELF EVEN IN THE ABSENCE OF THE EXHIBITS ON THE WALL.
