The Wandering Wall

The project, a residence for a classical dancer and her family intends to provide her a sacred space for her to dance in. The idea of multiple interconnected courtards derived from building around the trees of the wooded site. The project stands as a seemingly uninterrupted set of walls that wrap around  courtyards inspired by pavillions of Indian Classical Architecture, matching the flow of a dancer.  Shallow, segmental vaults on the insides add on to the meandering nature, making one feel as if they are living inside a continuous, wandering wall.
