There is much more than just Typography. Hence after acquiring knowledge by practicing certain exercises such as Calligrams and learning the basics of Adobe Illustrator, prototypes of various products were made. Principles of Design, Colour theory and Gestalt Theory served a major role in designing the graphics and interactive space as the final project.  A survey was conducted related to Mental Health and Typography was used to spread awareness and help people who genuinely face such mental health problems.

Mid Semester Project - A Tourist Guide Gujarat has a huge and varied heritage of crafts. Many of these are gradually vanishing, because of lack of promotion. To preserve and disseminate the various crafts and traditions of Gujarat a brochure will be handy as a tourist can carry it everywhere. The chosen topic Handicrafts of Gujarat is not a prevalent subject for brochures hence this foldable guide will bring a new perspective and an appreciation of our heritage. Objective: To design a brochure providing the necessary information of Handicrafts of Gujarat.

More than just Type-Initiative for Mental Well-being. Brainstorming and Ideation: A survey was required to understand what anxiety patients feel when they have anxiety/panic attacks or feel anxious in different situations. It helped in finding out more than one coping mechanism as different people have various perspectives regarding one subject. After collecting information from various sources and having a thorough understanding about anxiety and its symptoms, layouts were made for the interactive display followed by activities that made people indulge into thinking about themselves and taking a pause to reflect upon themselves.
Positive and Negative Play Overview: When it comes to mental health, people often don’t talk about it as they don’t want to ‘annoy’ someone or feel like a burden. But this isn’t the case, therapists suggest that talking about feelings and emotional instability can ease anxiety patients as they share their thoughts instead of bottling up their emotions. Hence, an interactive space was created to spread awareness, help people who have anxiety by giving them various coping mechanisms, handing out hampers and performing a number of soothing activities.
This slide also shows the different activities and goodies which were given out at the end of the exhibition.
After having a thorough understanding and talking to various people and noting down their feedback, a perfectly curated Serenity Box was made that helped people relieve anxiety. They felt less anxious and did not bottle up their feelings as they wrote them down in the personalised Daily Journal.
