Ahmedabad city which evolved from a medieval fortified city to today has about 7 million inhabitants and has an obvious ring-radial urban structure development. Naranpura, located in the Western part of Ahmedabad has its own character and is a contrast when compared to the Eastern parts of Ahmedabad. For the study, 1Sq. Km area in Naranpura was chosen as a sample to study the neighborhoods in detail. Naranpura has evolved significantly over the past two decades and is still evolving to accommodate the current needs of the people. Naranpura is a well-planned and desired area that people choose to settle in. Naranpura is still a highly developing area in terms of infrastructure, population, and resource demand, so there will be more evolution and transformation over the years.
