Chandkheda is located in the north-west of the metropolitan city of Ahmedabad. It offers good connectivity to Gandhinagar through Ahmedabad-Patan highway. People prefer staying in this sub-urban area due to the same. The area had started developing into a residential area from the early 2000’s. Majority of the structures are gated housing societies having row-houses and semi-detached bungalows. Later, the vacant plots got developed into housing societies and residential higihrise apartments. Being predominantly residential, the land development pattern of this area has multiple contradictions in case of the property rates, plot wise Floor Space Index (FSI) and population density.
