Ahmedabad has a circular growth pattern, with development starting in the middle and extending out to the edges. Hebatpur, a village on the western edge, has existed for the last 20 years. On a larger scale, Hebatpur is located between the S.G. highway in the east and the S.P. ring road in the northwest. Ahmedabad has a robust ring and radial network, making it easier to go throughout the city and to neighboring towns and cities. Approximately 13% of Hebatpur, Sola, a precinct on the fringes of western Ahmedabad, is built-out. The peripheral area has a very high potential for development in undeveloped land.
