The studio was primarily focused on understanding the city of Ahmedabad through a lens of 1sqkm area. Over the course of four months, various aspects of a neighborhood were studied in the form of weekly exercises, such as history and evolution, built form, streets etc, Non tangible aspects such as socio-economic characteristics were also studies by conducting surveys. The present study was focused on the area of Jamalpur and Behrampura, located on the Eastern Side of Sabarmati River.
