Maninagar-Khokhra: A Residential neighbourhood

The portfolio is part of the foundation studio for a Master’s in Urban Design. By considering different parameters, the studio aimed to understand the city via an assigned individual precinct. The study is about the understanding of basic planning parameters and their implications in a practical setting, relating them to planning, urban design issues, cultural and political influence, economic, and environmental factors through analysis. Overall Maninagar-Khokhra area predominantly has residential, railway staff quarters and commercial and Gamtal neighbourhoods. Ultimately, the study concluded that Maninagar-Khokhra lacks of public spaces and better accessibility to public transport.
