A kilometer squared area of Navrangpura, Ahmedabad was studied during the course of the semester. The historical development, predominant built typologies, and existing urban pattern was mapped and analyzed to promote an understanding of the overall city. Navrangpura is an example of a changing city centre: a residential and commercial hub, with several public realms. Although the area presents low connectivity, it is well frequented and is truly a place of the people.
