Motera is the bridge between Gujarat's twin cities, i.e. Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. It is 10km from the city center. Motera is a locality of Ahmedabad along the Sabarmati River that shares boundaries with Chandkheda and Sabarmati. Motera is famous for the Motera stadium or the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is the largest cricket stadium in the world as said by the Gujarat Cricket Association. Motera has different types of housing typologies such as bungalows, row houses, apartments and high rise apartments. As a connector, it is interesting to know how the street networks are formed and due to these what kind of built form is coming up. This project aims to study Motera in depth, about its evolution, street network and its correlation with the built form, land use, public realm and lastly infrastructure.
