Krishna Nagar was originally a home for an industrial hub that was once dominated by textile industries that have since been supplanted by steel, metal, and machinery industries. With the introduction of commutation in the form of BRT, the retail market and high-rise residences surrounding the corridor grew over time. These modifications encouraged mixed-use development in the area. Most of the people in this area are migrants from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Because of the industrial boom that occurred following the establishment of Naroda GIDC in the late 1990s. Because of the rapid growth of industrialization, people needed to find housing near their workplaces, resulting in the simultaneous development of residential and industrial areas. Many wanted to move out but due to financial issues, they are staying in these places, As result choices became people’s preferences and that directly affects their quality of life which is sacrificed.
