Ahmedabad continues to expand its boundaries with the help of Town Planning schemes, since the 1990s. Sola Thaltej is one such example, which was originally a village located on the outskirts of the city, today is a prime real estate market with an array of high rise commercial and residential buildings. The SG highway passing through it has divided the precinct into eastern and western parts, which are contrasting to one another. On the western side, one can find prime high end real estate as opposed to Bambariya Thalav, an excellent example of a modern-day urban village.
