The neighbourhood of Thakkarbapanagar in Naroda has witnessed a major transformation and undergone several changes in the last 20-25 years. With sufficient help from the government in the infrastructural development along with provision of incentives for all economic groups to set up their activities and housing, the area was quick to progress in the right direction. Studying the area helps one to comprehend how it went from being a GIDC industrial park that was largely ignored to becoming highly sought-after by a variety of investors. It is presently acknowledged as a highly diverse small business district.
