The portfolio explores a 1sq.km span of an area in Sola located along the western edge of Ahmedabad, developed over the past two decades after the introduction of the SG Highway. Sola was developed on a rural patch of land predominantly involved in agricultural activities. The farmland was later cleared for urban development post-incorporation within the city limits. The SG Highway acted as a catalyst that induced residential and commercial development in the region. The real estate boom and the gentrification experienced by the area show has rendered its character in contrast compared to the core of the city and the eastern fringe.
