Usmanpura being the city centre in western part, has an immense importance in terms of commercial and residential development. It has major road network going through it. Ashram road is one of the major road networks, which holds all historic background and built evolution over the past few years. Construction of Ellis bridge gave rise to land development and residential built form. Being city centre, large no of setbacks depicts the poor use of land. In spite of having all infrastructure such as wide roads, footpaths, metro, AMTS, and connectivity to different parts of the city, it is failing in attracting people to live and prioritize Usmanpura for different reasons. Lack of job opportunities for all classes of people and less land coverage for commercial development and less consumption of FSI is the main reason behind less population density.
