Vastrapur, located in the western part of Ahmedabad, falls under Bodakdev ward. The area comprises an important transit spine which connects from Judges Bunglow Road to IIM Ahmedabad. The study focuses on spatial development of Vastrapur along with the emergence and availability of street network and further land development. Further, the precinct's historical evolution and the preliminary findings from satellite imagery has been studied. Also, various government interventions and market forces that resulted in the development of the area as it exists today had been analysed. The study uses primary and secondary data and a Geographical Information System to generate various maps and analyse the road network and built form of the area.
