Ramdev Nagar Community : A Neighborhood Restructuration

The area of study is an informal settlement in the Ramdev Nagar neighborhood, off of Satellite Rd. in Western Ahmedabad. 
The project is entitled “Neighborhood Restructuration”, as it is my belief and standpoint that the elements identified as needing to be improved in order to provide a better foundation for the neighborhood to further expand and thrive (spatially, socially and economically) stem from structural and infrastructural interventions.
Indeed, my intention in this project was to bridge existing constraints of slum redevelopment construction practices with a framework allowing different levels of privacy, community gathering, and space for growth in the family.
