The consequences of the ongoing transformation of Jain religiosity in the walled city of Ahmadabad from rituals to reflection have to see by the future generation. They are interconnected in a way no one owned other than the Jain community, creating an internal pilgrimage route. However, a sense of continuity will inevitably struggle to find a use, especially in areas where the community radipdy migrates and the fabric is converting its ownership. It is significantly increasing disturbance in traditional routes and growing challenges for Jain heritage and conserving Jain heritage and its continuity of traditional routes. Giving them potentially can help future generations understand where they are coming from.
The Studio began with a 2-week exercise to critically read and analyze the World Heritage (WH) Site of the Historic City of Ahmedabad, which formed the base for individual work. This exercise was done in groups of 2-3 students. Click on the button below (view additional work) to view the group's work.
