Revitalizing the Pols through Creative Industries

The urban settlement, comprising of Jada Bhagat ni Pol, Chhipa Pol and Dabgarwad market were taken up for this study. The pols, which are currently residential with negligible commercialization provide an opportunity to help revive the craft of Dabgars through the adaptive reuse of vacant structures. The Studio began with a 2 week exercise to critically read and analyse the World Heritage (WH) Site of the Historic City of Ahmedabad which formed the base for individual work.
