Analysis & Design of Nehrunagar Cross Road

Intersections are sensitive spots because multiple competing movements occur at the same time with multiple vehicle users and pedestrians. This studio was focused on understanding traffic conditions and related challenges in urban environments, particularly at and around intersections. The studio focuses on the tangibles of the intersection, such as speed analysis and pavement defects, with the goal of analyzing and designing an urban intersection, specifically in Ahmedabad. The Nehrunagar Cross Road in the Navrangpura Ward was chosen as the project. The intersection's engineering aspects were understood, and recommendations in terms of Geometric Changes were proposed.
