Intersection Design & Analysis of Helmet Crossroads

Intersections are vulnerable regions with several competing movements occurring at once with multiple vehicle users and pedestrians. This studio concentrated on understanding the traffic condition and related challenges in urban environments, notably at and around crossroads. With the aim of analysing and designing an Urban Intersection, specifically in Ahmedabad, the studio lays emphasis on the tangibles of the intersection; Speed Analysis, Pavement defects to name some of them. The intersection chosen for the project was "Helmet Crossroads". Engineering aspects of the intersection were comprehended and recommendations were put forward.
