Our relationship with the interior is produced not only by walls or it's boundaries but by the order, array and number of objects within it ; their objecthood, which remains independent from the envelope that contains them. The studio proposes an idea of interiority within the contemporary workspace through slippages in digital and analog modes of making. The studio explores speculative design procedures by understanding the potential embedded in digital and analog mediums. Cycles of making and thinking with these mediums and the effects they produce will play an important role in the development of individual projects. The students will also research the history of the workspace and its evolution towards the contemporary place of work.
