Enheartening Embrace

The project aims to invoke a sense of security and reassurance in the people, it being a Disaster Management Institute. The courtyard was imagined as a central void with the built enclosing it; as a warm reassuring embrace to the people it serves. The project also explores the the extremes of what invokes a feeling of security; strength and solidity as symbols of protection as well as porosity and connectivity as a gesture of transparency and openness.
