Located in Gujarat's Science City, Ahmedabad is home to the Children Science Centre. The hexagonal site presents challenges related to the site. Five different atmospheric biomes are targeted by the programme. The design has load-bearing rammed earth walls that protrude and blend together with the surrounding environment. For climatic considerations, a city like Ahmedabad must have a high thermal mass. Using the concept of the five components of nature, there is a voyage from the marine to the space, with the seas at the bottom and the space at the top. Each Biome has a connection to a gallery that expands on it.
