“Conservation is about using the memory of a site as a design strategy, because it shows depth and a process of connection”  from book "Spatial Recall: Memory in Architecture and Landscape” is a collection of essays exploring the relationship between memory and the built environment. ‘Upkeeping the remnants of time’ refers to the preservation and maintenance of aging structures. Ruined form of structure shows palimpsest of building and become memory of building. By consolidating these ruins to prevent it from further decaying.
