Nomadic Furniture

The aim is to make vertical storage that is a derivative of flatpack nature of the modular partition screen that pays a homage to the concept of nomadic furniture, which was conventionally functional as both luggage and utilised as furniture. The tensile, semi-flexible and porous nature of braids allow for it to be spanned into a large surface with modules fastened to it to create an infinitum of possible configurations adhering to the user requirement. The design tries to resolve the tidious job of packing, unpacking and arranging cycle of a frequent traveller or someone with a lifestyle that demands perenial migration. The design is comparatively less bulky than conventional storage systems and intends to cater to highly specific user needs due to the nature of the technique utilized.
