SPF 40- A Writers' Residence In Jodhpur

The objective of this project was to create a residence for a family of four comprising of parents who are both writers and their two children, in the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The crux of the studio is to create spaces that  achieve the comfort zone efficiently, even in extreme climatic conditions.  By studying the climatic conditions and understanding the vernacular architecture, the project proposes  strategies that are passive in nature to tackle the hot and dry climate of Jodhpur. A combination of vernacular architecture and technology has been used to forge creative solutions to make the building climatically responsive.
