(In)formal Transitions - Book Studio at Bandstand

The pavilion is situated at the iconic bandstand in Kamatibaugh, Vadodara. The objective behind this structures is to provide a transit to people to and from the band stand while providing a gradual transition from collaborative open reading spaces and platform with strong connection to the outside to a introspective and secluded set of spaces which allows for individual activity. This is facilitated by a transition from square to circle, gradual increase of enclosure (also removal from bandstand context) into the ground., while still allowing for possibilities of direct passage and a more experiential stroll and engagement to the pavilion.
