Design of Steel Staging Structure

The studio included understanding steel as a material and to understand the structural behavior of various components of Steel Structures as per Indian Standard for design of steel structures, IS 800-2007. The aim of the assigned project is to analyze and design a steel staging structure - Solid State Polymerization Plant, located in Nagpur having a height of 55m and large cut-outs in floor and heavy equipment with Built-up Plus Sections for Column and Rolled I-section for Elevation Bracings and to compare it in terms of quantity with the same structure having Built-up Box Sections for Column and Hollow Box Sections for Elevation Bracings.
