The relation between form and product can be very intriguing.Understanding this relation involved exploring forms through various exercises and then applying the learnings in a more practical realm.The material chosen to take this study further was marble. Marble, just like other materials, can be a medium with multifold possibilities and opportunities for exploration.One such approach is this project consisting of 3 design explorations considering marble as the focal material.During this project, the properties of marble which were mainly explored were translucency, ease in ornamentation and aesthetic value.The three products include a marble lamp, tile and cutlery rest.
